World Holidays Word Searches
Puzzles for the festivals the world keeps beyond the American calendar, starting with Lunar New Year, the biggest of them by the number of people who celebrate it, and going on through the year: the parades of Mardi Gras, the fast of Ramadan, Purim and Passover, Cinco de Mayo, the lamps of Diwali and the altars of the Day of the Dead.
Many of these dates move because they follow the moon. Lunar New Year falls between January 21 and February 20, Ramadan starts about eleven days earlier each year because the Islamic calendar is purely lunar, and Diwali comes on a new moon in October or November.

Every puzzle prints in three levels: easy hides 5 words in a 10 by 10 grid, reading only across and down; medium hides 15 in a 12 by 12 grid; hard hides up to 23 in a 15 by 15 grid. Each print is a fresh draw from the topic's word list, and every sheet comes with an answer key. The same puzzles play online, on your own or against a friend in real time.
