Months of the Year Word Searches
One puzzle for every month of the year, January to December. Each list mixes the month's holidays, weather, seasonal food and events, so the sheet for any month reads like a short tour of it.
The names are older than the calendar they sit in. The Roman year once began in March, which is why September, October, November and December are built on the Latin words for seven, eight, nine and ten even though they are now the ninth to twelfth months. July and August were renamed for Julius Caesar and his heir Augustus.
