Puzzles for language class. Spanish comes first, the language most American students take, with its own shelf of Spanish Greetings, Spanish Numbers, Spanish Cognates, Spanish Verbs, La Familia, Spanish Food, Spanish Clothing, Spanish Holidays and Spanish-Speaking Countries. Then come French, German, Italian and Latin, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Hebrew and Arabic, Sign Language, and Languages for the names of the world's tongues.

The Spanish, French, German and Italian grids keep their accents, the Spanish n with its tilde and the German umlaut, because in those languages a mark can change the word. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Hebrew and Arabic are spelled in the Latin letters a textbook uses to transliterate them, since their own scripts would not fit a grid of capitals.

Every puzzle prints in three levels: easy hides 5 words in a 10 by 10 grid, reading only across and down; medium hides 15 in a 12 by 12 grid; hard hides up to 23 in a 15 by 15 grid. Each print is a fresh draw from the topic's word list, and every sheet comes with an answer key. The same puzzles play online, on your own or against a friend in real time.
