Penguins Word Search

Scientists count about 18 penguin species, and all of them live south of the equator except a few Galapagos penguins on islands that cross it. The emperor is the tallest, close to four feet. Emperor fathers hold a single egg on their feet under a warm fold of skin called the brood patch for about two months of the Antarctic winter, eating nothing until the mothers return from the sea.
Penguins cannot fly, but they swim fast. Gentoos reach about 22 miles an hour, and many species leap clear of the water while they travel, a habit called porpoising. On land they walk with a waddle or slide on their bellies, which is called tobogganing. Adelie penguins build their nests from stones, and a bird will steal a good pebble from a neighbor's nest when it can.
