Super Bowl Word Search

Forty words for the biggest game of the American football year: the kickoff and the touchdown, the quarterback, the field goal and the interception, the halftime show and the commercials, the nachos and wings, and the trophy at the end.

The name started as a joke. Lamar Hunt, owner of the Kansas City Chiefs, suggested Super Bowl in the 1960s after watching his children play with a Super Ball, a very bouncy rubber toy, and the name stuck although the league first called the game the AFL-NFL World Championship Game.

The first one was played on January 15, 1967, in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and the Green Bay Packers beat Hunt's Chiefs 35 to 10. Their coach was Vince Lombardi, and the trophy the winners have lifted since 1971 carries his name: the Lombardi Trophy.
