This Toy Story puzzle holds forty names from the four films: Woody and Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Rex, Hamm, Slinky, Bo Peep, Forky and the three-eyed Aliens of Pizza Planet, who worship the claw.
Pixar released Toy Story in November 1995, the first feature film made entirely on computers, directed by John Lasseter with Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz. Buzz is named for Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the Moon. Several of the toys were real before they were characters: Mr Potato Head went on sale in 1952 and was the first toy advertised on television, and the Slinky was invented by a naval engineer, Richard James, in the 1940s.
Andy's name is written on the sole of Woody's boot, which is how every toy in the room knows whose it is. Sid, the boy next door, takes toys apart and builds mutants from the pieces, and the carpet in his house copies the hexagon pattern of the hotel in The Shining. The Pizza Planet delivery truck from the first film has been hidden in nearly every Pixar film since.
