Hello Kitty Word Search
This Hello Kitty word search holds forty words from the world of Sanrio: Kitty White and her twin Mimmy, her friend Dear Daniel, her pet cat Charmmy Kitty, the friends My Melody, Kuromi, Keroppi and Pompompurin, and her red bow.
Yuko Shimizu designed Hello Kitty for Sanrio in 1974, and the first product, a small vinyl coin purse, went on sale in Japan in 1975. Sanrio gave her a full English life: her name is Kitty White, she lives just outside London with her parents George and Mary and her twin Mimmy, and her birthday is November 1. She is said to be five apples tall and to weigh three apples, and her favorite food is her mother's apple pie.
Hello Kitty has no mouth, and Sanrio says that is on purpose, so people can see their own feelings in her face. The quickest way to tell the twins apart is the bow: Kitty wears hers on her left ear and Mimmy wears hers on the right. In 2014 a Sanrio spokesperson told a researcher that Kitty is not a cat at all but a little girl, a cartoon character, and the remark made news around the world.
