Elvis Word Search
This Elvis puzzle holds 40 words from the life of Elvis Presley: his birthplace Tupelo, his home Graceland, his manager Colonel Tom Parker, the hits Hound Dog and Jailhouse Rock, the pompadour, the sideburns and the white jumpsuit of the Las Vegas years.
Elvis was born in a two-room house in Tupelo, Mississippi, on January 8, 1935; his twin brother, Jesse Garon, was stillborn. The family moved to Memphis when he was 13. In July 1954 Sam Phillips recorded him at Sun Records singing That's All Right, and a Memphis disc jockey played it on the radio within days. RCA bought his contract late in 1955, and Heartbreak Hotel became his first number one in 1956.
The Army drafted him in 1958, and he served in West Germany, where he met Priscilla Beaulieu; he left the Army a sergeant in 1960, they married in 1967, and Lisa Marie was born in 1968. He had bought Graceland in 1957 for $102,500. He died there on August 16, 1977, at 42, and the house opened to visitors in 1982.
